Terms of use

The rules for using financeprep.uk

Last updated

1. About these terms

financeprep.uk is a free practice site run by Antonio Stancati. These terms apply whenever you use it. By using the site you agree to them, so if you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle data is covered separately in the privacy notice.

2. Education only

Everything on the site is for practice and general education. Nothing here is financial, investment, legal or careers advice, and you shouldn't rely on it as such.

3. Independence

financeprep.uk is not affiliated with or endorsed by any employer or assessment provider. Their names appear only to describe publicly reported application steps and test formats, so you can find the right practice. Their names and trade marks belong to them.

4. Original content and no guaranteed outcomes

Every question, scenario and dataset is written for practice. None is taken from a real assessment. Practising here can help you get familiar with a format, but it can't guarantee any score, interview or offer.

5. Using the site fairly

You're welcome to use the site for your own preparation and in university society sessions. Please don't:

  • use it, or ask anyone to use it for you, while you're taking a live assessment;
  • present practice content as questions from a real test;
  • copy the site's content in bulk, or scrape or overload it with automated requests;
  • try to get around its security or interfere with how it works for others.

6. Intellectual property

The questions, guides, designs and software on the site belong to its operator. You may link to any page, quote short passages with a link back, and use the tools in study groups and society sessions. Please don't republish substantial parts of the content or use it in a paid product.

7. Accuracy and availability

Employer and format information is researched with care and every claim is labelled with how sure we are, but firms change their processes between cycles. Your invite and the employer's own pages always have the final word, so check them before you apply or sit a test.

The site is provided as it is. Features may change or be withdrawn, and it may sometimes be unavailable. Saved progress lives in your browser, so it can be lost if your browser clears it. Download a copy from your progress page if it matters to you.

8. Liability

The site is free. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for loss arising from using or relying on it, including a missed deadline, an assessment result or lost saved progress.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under the law of England and Wales. Your rights under UK consumer law are unaffected.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

11. Contact

To ask a question, report an error in a question or a claim, or make a complaint, email antonio.stancati@warwick.ac.uk or send a message on LinkedIn.
