Tower planning
Copy the target board by moving one disc at a time
What it looks at
How you go about planning. The game notes how long you look at the board before your first move, how many moves you take against the shortest possible solution, and how quickly you carry them out.
Together those describe a style rather than a mark: mapping the route out in your head first, or working it out by trying moves. Neither is better in general, and what suits a role depends on the employer. Plan as much as you actually need and avoid pointless moves.
How to play
Five coloured discs sit on three pegs, with a target set of pegs above your own. Move the top disc of one peg onto another peg, one disc at a time, until your board matches the target.
Tap a peg to pick up its top disc, then tap the peg you want it on; tapping the same peg again puts it back. Any peg can hold any number of discs, and nothing restricts which disc goes where.
The main puzzle gives you 120 seconds and its shortest solution takes 9 moves; the practice puzzle is shorter and has no clock. Undo takes back your last move and Start again puts every disc back where it began, both as often as you like.
Discs carry a number as well as a colour
Peg 1: disc 1. Peg 2: disc 2. Peg 3: disc 3
