Face emotions
Pick the word that best fits how each person feels
What it looks at
Two things. The first is reading a face on its own: the words people pick for a clear expression agree more often than you might think, so these items have an answer the face was drawn for.
The second has no answer at all. On some items the situation points to a different feeling than the face, and what gets noticed is whether you go with what the person looks like or with what is happening to them. Most people lean towards the situation. Neither reading is the right one.
How to play
A face appears, sometimes with a short story about what is happening. Pick the word that best fits how that person feels, by tapping it or pressing its number. The same 10 words are offered every time and your first choice stands.
A face on its own gives you 7 seconds; a face with a story gives you 30 seconds, because the story has to be read. Running out of time moves you on to the next one. There are 14 items altogether.
Some stories start the same way and change in one detail, so read to the end rather than recognising the opening.
