Follow the middle arrow or the side arrows as the colour changes
What it looks at
Whether you can keep track of which rule is in force, ignore arrows pointing the other way and switch quickly when the colour tells you to. Every answer is right or wrong, and most slips happen when the arrows disagree or just after the rule changes.
How to play
A row of five arrows flashes up about every 1.3 seconds. Answer left or right with the arrow keys, or tap the buttons.
If the arrows are red, answer with the way the side arrows point. If they are any other colour, answer with the way the middle arrow points.
The sets keep coming whether or not you answer, and the run lasts about 3 minutes.
Blue set: answer left, with the middle arrow
Red set: answer right, with the side arrows
Most accounts describe one colour per set, and an earlier research version mixed colours within a set
